How You Can Help

How You Can Help2019-07-17T17:06:35+00:00

We’d love to have your assistance as we assist those in our community. Do you have time available? A talent you can share? Or perhaps a bit of treasure? All are welcome in any amount.

Seldom does a day go by when volunteers don’t enrich the lives of those the Center serves. We are so grateful to those who freely share their time and talents with us.

Individuals, groups, and clubs are always welcome. Call our Executive Director to let her know of your interest in volunteering. It can be on a weekly, monthly, or random basis—you decide!

Caregiver Training Events
Check out our free “Lunch & Learn” lectures planned for the benefit of our caregivers, which are open to the public. Dates and topics are posted on our entry way bulletin board or call 434-847-8111 for details.

Fundraising Events
Volunteers are also used and needed for our annual fundraising events! Please call 434-847-8111 to sign up.

Therapy dog visits, musical entertainment, devotions, games, and exercise are just a few of the activities our current volunteers provide us. Volunteers who are willing just to sit and visit with our participants are also most welcome.

We also are grateful for folks who can help with general maintenance, gardening, organization, and the like.

Your gifts to the Adult Care Center support the day services the Center provides to our community’s health-impaired adults. Five days a week, our professional staff provides loving care to those entrusted by their families to our care. Days at the Center are filled with laughter, music, arts, exercise, games and fun. It is the goal of the families we serve to keep their loved ones at home with them for as long as possible, and it gives us great joy when, at the end of each day, our participants leave the Center to return to their homes and families.

Please remember Adult Care Center in your estate planning, wills, and memorials
